Chocolate Peppermint Protein Balls
We went to a parade recently and came home with a million mini candy canes. Okay maybe not a million but my kids were seriously handed handful after handful of candy canes. So what to do with all those candy cane? How about adding them to a yummy protein packed recipe? Like these Chocolate Peppermint Protein Balls?

Chocolate Peppermint Protein Balls
Ingredients
1 cup of Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 cup All Natural Peanut Butter
1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
2 tbsp. Dark Chocolate Cocoa Powder
1/2 cup Honey
1 tsp. Peppermint Extract
1 tbsp. Crushed Candy Cane
2 tbsp. Mini Dark Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl by hand or stand mixer until mixed well.If the mixture is too dry, add another tablespoon of peanut butter or honey. Roll into small, bite-size balls and refrigerate until ready to eat. These are a perfect way to use up some of those candy canes while enjoying a healthy snack!
